Week 12 is looking like one of the most eventful weeks of the 2020 NFL season. Here are the top headlines coming into the rest of the week 12 games:
Broncos left with no QBs for Sunday:
The Broncos have 3 eligible quarterbacks: Drew Lock, Brett Rypein, and Blake Bortles. It is being reported that they have been in close contact with someone in the Broncos staff who recently tested positive. Due to NFL Covid 19 rules, all 3 QBs are ineligible for Sunday’s game. It was even reported that the Broncos will have two assistant coaches suit up for the Broncos as QB, but the league also denied that request. Kendall Hinton has now been announced as the starter for Sunday. Hinton played some quarterback in college at Wake Forest, but he’s been with the Broncos practice squad as a wide receiver the past couple of seasons. Hinton will lead the Broncos against the Saints, who are very talented on the defensive side of the ball.
Lamar Jackson Out, RG3 In:
Prior to the coveted Ravens-Steelers thanksgiving matchup, the league announced that the game will be postponed because of multiple players on the Ravens testing positive for covid. Lamar Jackson, and Mark Ingram headline the names of Ravens players contracting covid. As a result, Robert Griffin III will start against the Steelers on Tuesday. Griffin will have a chance to revive his career and prove that he can start as QB. Griffin had one of the most exciting seasons for a rookie QB, and a torn ACL really put his career to a halt. The game has been postponed three times now, causing unrest, especially on the Pittsburgh side. This will be the third time in the Super Bowl era that a game is being played on a Tuesday.
